Recently, I went to the first-ever official Yelp event at PDQ in Greenville. I have eaten there a couple times before and enjoyed the experience. They are super friendly and I loved their fresh chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce. So, I jumped at the chance to get a “behind the scene” look at how PDQ prepares their food, as well as sample their other tasty offerings.
First off, PDQ stands for People Dedicated to Quality. Everything in their restaurant is made fresh. The chicken tenders are hand-breaded and then dipped into buttermilk, and then fried. The potatoes are cut into fries by hand, then fried, then go through a blanching process, then fried to yummy crispy French fries. Even the avocados are sliced by human hands…
I already loved the chickens tenders, but my new favorite is the Grilled Chicken Salad with the Blueberry-Ginger Vinaigrette dressing. I also enjoyed the Cali Club Chicken Sandwich because it had 3 of my favorite things on it: bacon, ranch, and avocado. Super yum!
Thank you for reading and thank you Yelp for inviting me! 🙂
